General Terms and Conditions (GTC) Banquets
A) General provisions
Reception opening hours
Our hotel is closed at night (weekdays from 20:30 – 06:30 and weekends from 17:00 – 08:00). There is no night porter service.
If you no longer have access to the booked room because you have forgotten or lost your keycard or room key, you can call our night emergency number. If the night emergency number called cannot help you by telephone and a physical intervention is necessary on site, you will incur costs of CHF 300.00, which will be due for payment immediately.
Parking spaces, e-mobility
The Dialoghotel Eckstein has approx. 30 free parking spaces in its own grounds. The parking spaces are not under video surveillance. The Dialoghotel Eckstein accepts no responsibility for any damage.
Two parking spaces with a double e-charging station are available for guests with e-cars. Activation and billing take place via the reception (please note opening hours).
Accessibility (for guests in wheelchairs)
The Dialoghotel Eckstein is wheelchair accessible, with a few exceptions. We will be happy to provide you with further information when you make your reservation or you can find out more online on our entry at OK:GO-Initiative (barrier-free travel in Switzerland).
Pets
Well-behaved dogs are welcome. In the hotel restaurant, your dog may not lie in the passage area for service staff or guests (risk of tripping).
Smoking
The Dialoghotel Eckstein is smoke-free. Additional expenses for odor removal in the hotel room or similar as well as costs for fire department operations triggered by false alarms will be charged to the guest, including a surcharge for additional internal expenses.
Internet access (WLAN)
The Dialoghotel Eckstein has Internet access with fiber optic connection. WLAN access is free of charge for all guests.
Disposal of materials
Packaging material (cardboard, boxes, plastic, etc.) that arises in connection with the delivery of the event by the guest or third parties must be disposed of by the organizer. If the organizer leaves packaging material behind at the Dialoghotel Eckstein, the hotel is entitled to dispose of it at the organizer’s expense.
Checkrooms, luggage room
There is sufficient space for your outdoor clothing in our checkrooms (main checkroom opposite reception, mobile checkrooms). No liability is accepted for the checkrooms.
You can store your luggage with us (lockable luggage room at the reception) if your room is not yet ready for occupancy on arrival.
Lost property
Lost property is dated and – if possible – labeled with the room number. The maximum storage period is 6 months. After this period, these items will be disposed of. The hotel is expressly not liable for lost property.
If known, we will inform our guests immediately about the items left behind and send them by post on request. The guest bears the costs and the risk for the subsequent shipment. The advance payment of expenses before dispatch applies.
Use of data
Personal and address data collected by the Dialoghotel Eckstein in connection with the provision of services may be used by the Dialoghotel Eckstein for advertising purposes.
B) Banquets, weddings and aperitifs
We are happy to organize your banquets, weddings, aperitifs and company parties for 10 people or more.
We put together individual menus according to your wishes. For an initial idea, you can find some menu suggestions on our website under “Gastronomy”.
Cancellation policy
If you wish to cancel an event that has been definitively booked, the following cancellation costs will apply:
Free of charge up to 90 days before the start of the event
Up to 60 days before the start of the event 30% of the confirmed menu price and the number of persons
Up to 30 days before the start of the event 80% of the confirmed menu price and the number of persons
from 15 days before the start of the event 100% of the confirmed menu price and the number of persons
Exceptional regulation for funeral meals
Free of charge up to 10 days before the start of the event
Up to 6 days before the start of the event 30% of the confirmed menu price and the number of persons
Up to 3 days before the start of the event 80% of the confirmed menu price and the number of persons
In the event of later cancellation 100% of the confirmed menu price and the number of persons
Definite number of participants
The hotel must be informed in writing of the definitive number of guests and the number of guests with veggie requests, allergies and food intolerances no later than 7 days before the event.
A deviation in the number of persons from the signed offer of – 5% up to 7 days before the start of the event will be accepted free of charge. Additional persons will be charged as normal.
Minimum consumption
For events with fewer than 15 guests, a minimum consumption applies. This will be calculated individually by Dialoghotel Eckstein and communicated to you in the offer.
Prepayment
The Dialoghotel Eckstein is entitled, at its own discretion, to demand advance payment to the extent of the reservation, in particular for larger events. If the advance payment is not made on time, the Dialoghotel Eckstein may terminate the contract immediately (without reminder) and charge cancellation costs.
Invoicing
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Dialoghotel Eckstein shall invoice the customer for the expenses incurred after the booked event has been completed. The contract address on the signed offer or reservation confirmation is deemed to be the legally valid billing address. If additional consumptions are to be paid for individually by the event guests or participants, this must be done at reception before departure.
All invoices are issued in CHF including Swiss VAT.
Event duration, extension for banquets
The period of use of the premises is contractually agreed and also includes the preparation and clean-up work. Extensions of use require prior agreement; the Dialoghotel Eckstein may also charge additional room rental.
It is possible to hold a party/banquet at the Dialoghotel Eckstein until 02:00 at the latest. Please let us know until what time you have planned your event so that we can make staffing arrangements. From 22:00 we will charge you CHF 150.00 for every hour or part thereof and from 24:00 a fee of CHF 50.00 for the authorization of the extension by the municipality of Baar.
Flowers and decoration
We are happy to organize floral decorations according to your wishes for your event.
The fixing material for self-installed decorations must be agreed with the Dialoghotel Eckstein, damage to the house and furnishings will be charged.
All decorations must be verifiably declared as “flame retardant”.
Cork money
For alcoholic drinks (wine, sparkling wine, spirits, etc.) that you bring yourself, you will be charged CHF 25.00 per bottle as a “corkage fee”.
