General Terms and Conditions (AGB)
A) Individual guests
Cancellation policy
You can cancel your booking free of charge up to 4 p.m. two days before arrival. If you cancel later or do not arrive, we will charge 100% of the first night. We recommend that you take out travel or cancellation insurance.
Reception opening hours
Our hotel is closed at night (weekdays from 20:30 – 06:30 and weekends from 17:00 – 08:00). There is no night porter service.
If you no longer have access to the booked room because you have forgotten or lost your keycard or room key, you can call our night emergency number. If the night emergency number called cannot help you and a physical intervention is necessary on site, you will incur costs of CHF 300.00, which will be due for payment immediately.
Self-Check-in
Thanks to digital technology, you can arrive and check in at any time, even outside reception opening hours. Please note the important check-in information in advance! You will receive this necessary information for your self-check-in by e-mail (including the current door code for the hotel entrance), also check your SPAM folder.
Electronic locking system, room key
Our electronic locking system with keycards allows 24-hour access to the hotel and the booked room (access to the hostel area with KABA key and batch).
Any loss of the key card or key must be reported to reception immediately. Keycards that cannot be found or are defective will be charged at the latest on departure at CHF 20, classic KABA keys at CHF 80.
Room occupancy, arrival and departure times
The hotel rooms are available to our guests from 4 p.m. at the latest on the day of arrival. On the day of departure, we ask you to vacate your room by 10:00 a.m. on weekdays and by 11:00 a.m. on Sat/Sun. Should you exceptionally wish to stay longer in your room, please discuss the desired later check-out time with reception in good time.
The Dialoghotel Eckstein may charge compensation if rooms are vacated late. Without prior agreement, 30% of the daily rate will be charged for the stay in the room until 14:00 on the day of departure. If the room is released later, the price for an additional night will be charged.
Payment modalities
All invoices are issued in CHF. Hotel accommodation must be paid in advance or at the latest on departure. We accept all major debit and credit cards as well as Twint.
Smoking
The Dialoghotel Eckstein is smoke-free. Additional expenses for odor removal in the hotel room or similar as well as costs for fire department operations triggered by false alarms will be charged to the guest.
Lost property
Lost property is dated and – if possible – labeled with the room number. The maximum storage period is 6 months. After this period, these items will be disposed of. The hotel is expressly not liable for lost property.
If known, we will inform our guests immediately about the items left behind and send them by post on request. The guest bears the costs and the risk for the subsequent shipment. The advance payment of expenses before dispatch applies.
Pets
Well behaved dogs are welcome. Your dog stays for CHF 25.00 per night and receives an appropriate dog set.
Parking spaces, e-mobility
The Dialoghotel Eckstein has approx. 30 free parking spaces in its own grounds. The parking spaces are not under video surveillance. The Dialoghotel Eckstein accepts no responsibility for any damage.
Two parking spaces with a double e-charging station are available for guests with e-cars. Activation and billing take place via the reception (please note opening hours).
Accessibility (for guests in wheelchairs)
The Dialoghotel Eckstein is wheelchair accessible with a few exceptions. We will be happy to provide you with more information when you make your reservation or you can find out more online at the OK:GO initiative (barrier-free travel in Switzerland).
Internet access (WLAN)
The Dialoghotel Eckstein has Internet access with the latest fiber optic connection. WLAN access is free of charge for all guests.
Use of data
Personal and address data collected by the Dialoghotel Eckstein in connection with the provision of services may be used by the Dialoghotel Eckstein for advertising purposes.
B) Seminars, groups, banquets
Reservation
The reservation contract with the Dialoghotel Eckstein is only valid once it has been confirmed in writing by the customer. If the contract is not signed and returned to the Dialoghotel Eckstein within 14 days, the latter reserves the right to dispose of the reserved data.
Cancellation policy for group, conference, seminar or banquet reservations
If the entire event is canceled, we ask the customer to inform us as soon as possible. Only written cancelations will be accepted.
If you wish to cancel a definitively booked event, the following cancellation costs apply:
Up to 90 days before the start of the event free of charge
Up to 60 days before the start of the event 25% of the reserved services
Up to 30 days before the start of the event 50% of the reserved services
Up to 15 days before the start of the event or later 100% of the reserved services
Prepayment
The Dialoghotel Eckstein is entitled, at its own discretion, to demand advance payment to the extent of the reservation, in particular for larger events. If the advance payment is not made on time, the Dialoghotel Eckstein may terminate the contract immediately (without reminder) and charge cancellation costs.
Invoicing
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Dialoghotel Eckstein shall invoice the customer for the expenses incurred after the booked event has been completed. The contract address on the signed offer or reservation confirmation is deemed to be the legally valid billing address. If additional consumptions are to be paid for individually by the event guests or participants, this must be done at reception before departure.
- All invoices are issued in CHF including Swiss VAT.
Number of participants
15 days before the event, the customer shall confirm the definitive
number of persons to Dialoghotel Eckstein in writing. Deviations of +/- 5% from the signed contract will be adjusted free of charge up to 7 days before the event. The organizer will be invoiced for the number of people reported 7 days in advance.
For room reservations we expect a complete list of participants (a sample with the required details will be provided) up to 21 days before the date of arrival.
Payment modalities

For events or for corporate clients, payment of the total costs is possible on account, provided the company is based in Switzerland. After invoicing, we expect payment to our bank account net without any deductions within 30 days.

Daily menus for events, banquets, bringing in food and drinks
Our daily changing 2- to 4-course menus are based on regional and seasonal cuisine. These menus are included in full board or in a seminar package. We are happy to accommodate your dietary requirements, allergies or other intolerances by prior arrangement.
We are happy to organize your banquets, weddings, aperitifs and company parties for 10 people or more. We put together individual menus according to your wishes. For an initial idea, you will find some menu suggestions on our website.
Bringing food and drinks is not permitted. Exceptions must be clarified with the management during the booking phase and, if necessary, recorded in writing.
Event duration, extension for banquets
The period of use of the seminar rooms is agreed by contract and also includes preparation and clean-up work. Extensions of use require prior agreement and the Dialoghotel Eckstein may charge additional room rental.
It is possible to hold a party/banquet at the Dialoghotel Eckstein until 02:00 at the latest. Please let us know until what time you have planned your event so that we can make staffing arrangements. From 22:00 we charge CHF 150.00 for every hour or part thereof.
Disposal of materials at events
Packaging material (cardboard, boxes, plastic, etc.) that is generated in connection with the delivery of the event by the guest or third parties must be disposed of by the organizer. If the organizer leaves packaging material behind at the Dialoghotel Eckstein, the hotel is entitled to dispose of it at the organizer’s expense.
Checkrooms, luggage room
There is sufficient space for your outdoor clothing in our checkrooms (main checkroom opposite reception, mobile checkrooms). No liability is accepted for the checkroom.
You can easily store your luggage (lockable luggage room at the reception) if your room is not yet ready for occupancy on arrival.
Lost property

We are happy to organize floral decorations according to your wishes for your event.
The fixing material for self-installed decorations must be agreed with the Dialoghotel Eckstein, damage to the house and furnishings will be charged.
